How to Use Social Media to Grow Your Business in 2018

With the new year just around the corner many of us find ourselves with calendars and notebooks sprawled upon our desks planning for the new year.

For many entrepreneurs, questions come up such as:

How can I get more clients?

Where should I be focusing my energy on when it comes to social media?

How can I improve my marketing and sales in 2018?

It's no secret that the biggest players online know how to successfully leverage social media to gain new clients. For many, the tricky part is figuring out how.

Today, I want to share a few helpful tips with you on how to use social media to grow your business in the new year:

1. Determine what platforms your audience is on and focus on those

Yes, there are a ton of social media platforms out there, but you DO NOT need to be on all of them. Identify who you want to be working with in the  new year, find out where they hangout online and then focus your energy there.

2. Have a strategy

The #1 thing most entrepreneurs are lacking when it comes to their social media is a strategy. There are a lot of things that go into creating a strategy but to start you off determine what platforms you want to be on and what kind of content you are going to post to engage your ideal client.

3. Stay consistent

Perhaps you dropped off social media once, or twice...okay maybe a few times this past year. Don't make that mistake this year. The key to getting results on social media is consistency. That's how  I got 2 clients from social while I was on vacation! Create a strategy and select the  number of platforms that you will be able to stick to...consistently.

4. Provide CTA's

The other main mistake entrepreneurs make when it comes to social media is that they do not provide the opportunity for their followers to leave the social platform and visit their site, blog, offering, etc. Use social media to attract your ideal clients and then provide clear calls to action to get them on your blog, site, and email list.

If you apply these four things to your business, you will start to see conversions and results. They are the biggest factors that contribute to online success!
