One of my favorite things to do as a coach is help women START their business.
Truth be told, most coaches think I'm crazy. When I talk to other coaches in my industry they often talk about how they prefer to work with women who are more established in business.
That's not the case for me. Nothing lights me up as much as sitting down with a woman, hearing her vision and big dream and then helping her make it happen. I've done it for years, I've done it again and again, and I absolutely love it!
After having started 3 successful online businesses and mentoring 100+ women on how to start their own here are the steps I have identified to be key when it comes to starting your business:
Step 1: Write down your vision
This step seems simple and small but it is KEY to making your business happen! I believe that there is so much power tied to writing something down and then seeing it happen. I've seen it happen with my business vision, goals etc. When you start your business, it's important to learn that it's your job to have and lead the vision of your business right from the beginning. Get clarity by writing down your vision.
Step 2: Create a business model
This is just a fancy way of saying decide what you are going to sell. I see too many businesses starting with no clarity around what they are going to sell. This is the oxygen of your business. Look at your vision and decide how you can make money.
Step 3: Create a conversion strategy
Once you have something to sell, it's time to start selling it. There's no better place to start your business. Go out there and offer your services, talk to people, learn how to convert. If you can master the art of conversion then you'll know how to build a solid business, and this is the foundation of every single business.
Starting a business can feel overwhelming, but the best piece of advice I can give you is to take it a step at a time. Start with these three steps and once you've got these down write down three more steps to follow. The best thing you can do is START, so get started on making your big business dream happen with small steps.
